About Willy

Hi, I’m Willy, and I’ve spent the last ten years working in all parts of the web development process. That’s one of the great things about working in a small department. I’ve been primarily focused on php and database development for the past few years, but I’ve served as information architect, testing coordinator, mediator, use case author, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

Though I’ve spent the last few years at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and have a degree in Studio Art, don’t expect me to be a stellar designer. I’m still a really sharp critic and a pro at information architecture, but my design skills are about as rusty as they get.

You may have noticed that this site is running on WordPress and a widely available theme. Why doesn’t a real web developer make his own site management tool? I simply don’t believe in reinventing the wheel. I have a healthy sense of self and have no illusions that everything should be made the way I would have made it.

If you’re clever, you can find little crumbs about me all over the web. If it’s about museum technology, you can be pretty sure that’s me. If it’s about schnauzers, you’re on a tangent. If you get slightly more clever and it’s about bikes or relationship advice, that’s probably me too.
